How SAC Began
Aviation has always been at the heart of everything we do at SAC. Founded in 2021 by Suraj Lama — an aviation industry professional with over a decade of hands-on experience — SAC was built to solve a real problem: Nepali students and aviation businesses had no reliable, honest, and accessible source of aviation guidance.
Before founding SAC, Suraj established Annapurna Helicopter Pvt. Ltd. in 2017 and served as Chairman until 2021 — working directly with CAAN and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) to obtain regulatory approvals, import Airbus helicopters, and build lasting relationships with aviation professionals, pilots, engineers, and government officials across Nepal’s aviation sector.
In 2021, SAC was established with a clear purpose — to give every aspiring aviator in Nepal access to accurate, honest, and expert guidance. What started as a focused aviation education platform has grown into Nepal’s first virtual aviation hub — serving students, aviation businesses, airlines, and international organisations across the industry. Today, SAC connects Nepali students to verified training schools across the USA, Philippines, India, South Africa, and beyond — while providing specialist aviation business services to organisations operating in and entering Nepal’s aviation market.

A passionate advocate for honest and transparent aviation guidance, Suraj has spent years working personally with aspiring pilots, aviators, and aviation businesses — understanding the real challenges students and organisations face when navigating Nepal’s aviation landscape.
He actively participates in global aviation industry events and forums — ensuring SAC remains ahead of regulatory developments, emerging training programs, and international market opportunities that directly impact every student and partner SAC serves.
